Lindsey Kruger, founder of Nivas, joins us on the AOC to share how her non-profit is changing lives in Nepal.
With a background in design and architecture, Lindsey realized that she is uniquely skilled to help impoverished people rebuild homes in the remote regions of Nepal. After volunteering for Architecture for Humanity, Lindsey started her own non-profit dedicated to assisting the Nepalese people to rebuild their homes after the devastating 2015 earthquake. This inspiring episode shows how a few passionate people can make a massive impact on the world.
Heart of gold until you’re up against her in a game of Bananagrams, Lindsey is Nivas’ resident visionary. She founded Nivas after working on the ground in Solukhumbu and Dhading districts of Nepal where she saw first-hand what folks in under-served communities need most. During her career in architecture/design, she dove into international humanitarian aid projects and is currently working toward a Masters of Development Practice.
